WHAT SERVICES DO YOU OFFER?

CUSTOM DESIGN SERVICES: 

Primarily Clare makes costumes for performers. Lingerie, bathing suits and bold outfits/gowns are some of the types of "everyday garments" she likes to work on, however, she has experience creating all types of garments and sewn products. Contact her to discuss if your project is a good fit.

PRIVATE SEWING LESSONS /DESIGN DEVELOPMENT: 

Clare has a wealth of knowledge in many aspects of Design and the Fashion Industry. Private sewing lessons are a great opportunity to execute and elevate your sewing/design projects. Clare is a natural problem solver who can help you reach your costume and design  goals, whatever they may be. Receive professional guidance on topics such as project ideation and brainstorming, process and planning, sewing demonstrations and instruction, fashion business advising, sewn product development advice and more.

HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE?

The cost will depend on the scope of the project. Please note that a 50% deposit up front for most design projects is required.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO MAKE MY COSTUME?

Please understand that your costume can take several months to create, depending on the complexity and Clare's schedule. Please contact her at least a few months in advance of your deadline if possible. If you need a rush job, Clare can occasionally accommodate for an extra fee.

WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR HAVING A COSTUME MADE?

1. Set up a consultation where you go over specific needs, ideas and budget. 

2. Clare provides you with feedback and quote

3. You provide a deposit (up to 50% of total cost)

4. Body measurements are taken - can be done via video chat

5. Clare shops for fabrics and works on your costume, providing updates/photos along the way of its creation. 

6. Fittings and adjustments - depending on the costume, there may be one or more. 

7. Costume is complete and remaining payment is due 

8. The costume is handed off to you 

9. You look amazing at your show/event!

WHAT IS CLARE'S SPECIALTY?

Clare really enjoys challenging projects that involve more than cut and sewing. Unique concepts and challenging engineering. She likes to like to figure out things that other designers may not want to. Her personal design aesthetic leans towards a high fashion look.
