ABOUT THE PROJECT

The client originally came to me with the idea that they would like to create a period themed burlesque act. They wanted a gown, underwear and some kind of boa made of tampons. I thought that rather than a boa, a giant, functional tampon would read better on stage and be more hilarious. I showed them my drawings and they were easily sold on that idea.

The gown has arms that include gloves and a detachable train. I also made the underwear and bra, but can't take credit for the blood stain details on the underwear or dress. Those were done by the client.
